About me
My name is Claire and I am an NCMA Registered Childminder, I have been working in the childcare sector for ten years and have hands on experience, in a wide variety of roles.

I started my childcare training at a well known established day nursery and over the ten years in the industry I worked for two national nurseries and worked hard to become a fully qualified room manager, managing 4 staff and up to 20 children at any one time.

In ten years I have cared for hundreds of children varying in age from 3 months up to 15 years, children of different nationalities, ages, learning difficulties and special needs.

In any industry, experience is paramount to success, and I am confident that I can respond to any incident that should occur whilst a child is in my care, naturally in ten years I have taken numerous courses and exams and my qualifications include:
 

	Milton Keynes Support Childminder - Offering help and support to new child minders in Milton Keynes.
	NVQ levels 2 and 3 in early years care and education.
	Currently studying for a Degree in Early Years Care and Education.
	Currently working towards NVQ level 4
	CACHE qualified and certified.
	Oral hygiene certificate.
	Qualified First Aider to Government standards.
	OFSTED The Office for Standards in Education certified.
	A member of the NCMA - National Child Minding Association.
	A Member of the MK2 Network - Guaranteeing your child receives a higher professional level of Childcare in Milton Keynes.
	Activities and daily routines are implemented into the framework of the birth to 3 matters scheme.

When I sat down to create this web site, I didn't scour the internet trying to find information to add here, I sat down and wrote out exactly what I would like to know if I was looking for a childminder for my own children.

What you find on my web site are my thoughts, knowledge and information that I have gained from years of experience, information that I have been privileged to learn, not information that I have found on other web sites and placed here because I thought you might like to read it.

Having worked many years with national nurseries and seeing first hand how the management run those companies, I know from experience that I can offer your child the time, care and love that you personally give your child every day of the week.

I didn't just wake up one day and think I would become a childminder, I wanted to ensure I had the experience, knowledge and expertise before I became Little Steppers Childcare. 

I have ensured that I have everything in place to continue to be a successful childminder in Milton Keynes - Experience, knowledge, expertise and safety precautions are in place, and you can rest assured that when you leave your child with me and leave for work for the day, you will know that your child will be cared and catered for and will be happy with me and the other children in my care.
