|

My last Ofsted inspection took place
on 8th June 2009, I received an Outstanding in
ALL
areas which is indicted by a mark of 1 in the Ofsted report, shown below are a
few extracts from my Outstanding Ofsted report, the full report will be
available for downloading here as soon as Ofsted publish it online.
Overall effectiveness -
OUTSTANDING
Overall the quality of the provision is Outstanding, the childminder meets the
needs of all the children very effectively through recognising their uniqueness
and by providing an inclusive, welcoming and caring service.
Outstanding organisation and motivation of the childminder ensures children are
happy and well cared for in an environment that is exceptionally safe in
practice, and where their health, care and learning about how to stay safe are
of the highest standard.
Children are making excellent progress in their learning and development as they
are eager to be actively engaged in their choice of the interesting play
activities available.
Leadership and Management -
OUTSTANDING
The childminder has comprehensive records, policies and procedures that are
working in practice; this means they are promoting children's welfare very
effectively.
The childminder has a very clear
awareness of how self-evaluation of her practices can identify her strengths and
areas she can develop to improve the outcomes for children.
Quality and Standards
- OUTSTANDING
The childminder quickly
develops warm, caring relationships with all children, this means they settle
quickly and become fully included within the setting.
Children behave extremely well because they are completely immersed in a full
range of purposeful play.
The childminder has distinct rules
and boundaries and talks to children in such a positive way that children are
very clearly able to understand what she is asking of them. This encourages
children to listen well and learn how to take instruction, such as sharing and
taking turns, which helps children have respect for others.
The childminder has an extremely secure understanding of the six areas of
learning and the early learning goals.
